Thomas)\, a former longtime Post-Standard journalist and multi-instrumentalist who has worked with C-Jack Run Enterprises\, the Paul Robeson Performing Arts Company\, artists Carrie Mae Weems and Ellen M. Blalock\, who contributes video and photography to his recently released CD/DVD project\, ‘Sankofa: A Journey Through Afrika Part II.’\nOne Black Voice’s solo career includes seven CDs\, appearances on various projects\, award nominations and dozens of area performances\, including at the New York State Fair\, Westcott Street Cultural Fair\, the Syracuse Peace Council’s Plowshares Craftsfair & Peace Festival and the Syracuse Area Music Awards\, to name a few.\nThe stage name\, ‘One Black Voice\,’ stands for unity\, Afrikan heritage and the power created when our individual skills intersect with the collective needs of the community. Kofi is drawn to stories that celebrate and reclaim our Afrikan heritage and culture\, and therefore our humanity\, through the power of music and storytelling.
