You are invited to attend and participate in the oral doctoral examination of Tamie Suzuki Kawakami, Arts and Sciences candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Monday, April 29, at 2 p.m. in 106 Life Sciences Complex.
Suzuki Kawakami’s advisor is Professor John Chisholm. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Nancy Totah, Yan-Yeung Luk, Michael Sponsler, Weiwei Zheng and James Hougland. Professor James H. Henderson will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Applying Trichloroacetimidates to the Synthesis of Benzylic Trichloroacetamides and Functionalized Indoles.”
