You are invited to attend and participate in the oral doctoral examination of Eric Ottman, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Tuesday, August 20, at 2:30 p.m. in 122 Carnegie Library.
Ottman’s advisor is Professor Claudia Miller. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Graham Leuschke, Dan Zacharia, Steven Diaz and Mark Kleiner. Professor John ‘Jack’ Laiho will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Homology over a complete intersection ring via the generic hypersurface.”
