You are invited to attend and participate in the oral doctoral examination of Steven Reyes, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Thursday, December 12, at 1:30 p.m. in 202 Physics Building.

Reyes’s advisor is Professor Duncan Brown. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Stefan Ballmer, Walter Freeman, Denver Whittington and Jay Hubisz. Professor Natalie Russo will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Detection and Inference in Gravitational Wave Astronomy.”
