You are invited to attend and participate in the oral doctoral examination of Jeremy Scher, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Friday, December 13, at 10:30 a.m. in 1-019 Center for Science & Technology.
Scher’s advisor is Professor Arindam Chakraborty. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Timothy Korter, Weiwei Zheng, John Franck and Joseph Chaiken. Professor Lisa Manning will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Development and Application of Effective Stochastic Potential Method for Investigating Temperature-dependent Electronic Properties of Nanomaterials.”
