You are invited to attend and participate in the oral doctoral examination of Blair Ebony Smith, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Wednesday, July 31, at 1:30 p.m. in 220 Huntington Hall.

Smith’s advisor is Professor Gwendolyn Pough. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Dalia Rodriguez; Mario Rios Perez, James Haywood Rolling Jr., Kal Alston and Ruth Nicole Brown. Professor Kishi Animashaun Ducre will serve as chair of the defense.

The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Cruising, Crossings & Care: Sounds of Collective Black Girlhood.”
