You are invited to attend and participate in the oral doctoral examination of Jing Liu, Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Friday, June 7, at 1 p.m. in 151 Eggers Hall.

Liu’s advisor is Professor George Kallander. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Norman Kutcher, Tonio Andrade, David Robinson and Gang Zhao. Professor Dimitar Gueorguiev will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Beyond the Land: Maritime Interactions, Border Control, and Regional Powers Between China and Korea, 1500-1637.”
