College of Visual and Performing Arts Convocation and Reception

The College of Visual and Performing Arts will host a convocation ceremony to honor bachelor’s and master’s degree candidates. Parents, relatives, and friends of graduates are invited to attend.

School of Art alumnus Chris Renaud ’89, the Oscar-nominated director behind such box office hits as “Despicable Me,” “Despicable Me 2,” “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax” and “The Secret Life of Pets,” will deliver the 2019 convocation address. Read more about Renaud.

The event is free, and no tickets are required.

Reception

The College will host a reception for graduating VPA students, their families, and friends on the field in the west end of the The Dome immediately following the 7:30 p.m. convocation ceremony. Attendees should use the main concourse to access the field at aisles 103, 104, 113, or 114.

If you require assistance to access the field, use the elevator at Gate B (between aisles 105 and 106). Staff will be available to assist you.
