You are invited to attend and participate in the oral doctoral examination of Gaye Ceyhan, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Wednesday, November 20, at 9:30 a.m. in 103 Heroy Geology Laboratory.

Ceyhan’s advisor is Professor John W. Tillotson. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Nick L. Smith, Qiu Wang, Sharon Dotger, Dalia Rodriguez and Derek X Seward. Professor Julie M Hasenwinkel will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Early-year undergraduate research experience: How students are mentored, how valuable they find this experience, and what kinds of costs they associate with it.”
