Foundations kicks off our third year with the theme of “Becoming: Your Personal Journey.”

Combine your skills and passions to dictate your career path: Learn how from a media “jack of all trades” who’s worked as a radio host/producer, search engine optimization (SEO) expert, social media consultant, party DJ and newspaper/online reporter.

Geoff Herbert ’05, also known as DJ DeafGeoff, is an entertainment reporter and SEO lead for and The Post-Standard. He writes about music, movies, events, social media, news and Central New York life. Highlights of Herbert’s work include assisting several companies with SEO, DJing at events and reading Jim Boeheim’s lips then tweeting what he says during Syracuse basketball games.

Foundations events are open to undergraduate, graduate and PhD students.

Are you an undergraduate or graduate student interested in winning a $1,000 scholarship? Learn how on the Foundations webpage.
