RECORDS: Building a Premier Label from the Ground Up
Our two speakers in the next Rezak lecture—former Bandier student and RECORDS director of label management Sara Gil ’14 and head of marketing David Enriquez—have a lot to share.
RECORDS founder and industry legend Barry Weiss (the executive behind the launch of Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and others) launched this new label five years ago, and Gil and Enriquez have been working with him since day one. We will discuss what goes into building a world class record label from the ground up, individual artist case studies and more. And of course we will delve into our speakers’ career paths, day-to-day jobs and trends in the music business shaping their work.
