The oral doctoral examination of Terrance Burgess, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Thursday, April 9, at 3 p.m.
Burgess’s advisor is Professor Sharon Dotger. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Felicia Moore Mensah, Marcelle Haddix, Kal Alston and Zaline M Roy-Campbell. Professor George M Langford will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Understanding the Identity Work of Elementary Students of Color in the Science Classroom.”
