The oral doctoral examination of Camilla J. Bell, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Tuesday, April 14, at 1 p.m.
Bell’s advisor is Professor Marcelle Haddix. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Mario Rios Perez, Janis Mayes, Jeffery Mangram and James Haywood Rolling Jr. Professor Joan Bryant will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Black Women and the Struggle for Education as the Practice of Freedom: Embodying an Ethic and Pedagogy of Liberation.”
