Dissertation Defense: Peter McLaughlin

The oral doctoral examination of Peter McLaughlin, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Friday, August 7, at 10 a.m. in Zoom.

McLaughlin’s advisor is Professor Arindam Chakraborty. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Joseph Chaiken, Timothy M. Korter, Weiwei Zheng and John M Franck. Professor Pranav Soman will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Development and Efficient Implementation of Electron-Hole Interaction Kernel for Investigation of Electronic Excitations in Semiconductor and Metallic Nanoparticles.”
