Dissertation Defense: Colleen Burton

The oral doctoral examination of Colleen Burton, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Thursday, August 27, at 12:30 p.m. in Zoom.

Burton’s advisor is Professor Shana Gadarian. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Seth K. Jolly, Christopher G. Faricy, Kristi Andersen and Danielle Thomsen. Professor Jeffrey D. Gonda will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Gendered Civil Society Context, Local Party Strength, and Candidate Emergence: Explaining Female Representation across the US State Legislatures.”
