The oral doctoral examination of Sara Thaxton, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Tuesday, December 1, at 10 a.m. in Zoom.

Thaxton’s advisor is Professor Melissa Luke. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Derek Seward, Caroline O’Hara, Jason Curry and Mara Sapon-Shevin. Professor Kevin Antshel will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “A Phenomenological Investigation Of The Lived Experiences of Workplace Burnout, Wellness, and Resilience in Independently Licensed Private Practice Counselors Who Operate Their Own Practice While Maintaining a Caseload of Clients.”
