This exhibit is part of a traveling exhibit program from the Erie Canal Museum, consisting of 15 poster panels. This exhibit discusses the roles that women played in the creation and operation of the Erie Canal, and explains how social movements (such as abolition and women’s suffrage) that traveled by way of the Canal impacted their lives.
