This March the Graduate School will host Syracuse University’s 7th annual 3-Minute Thesis competition. 3MT is a research communication contest held at universities around the world, challenging graduate students to explain the nature, significance and inherent interest of their dissertation/thesis project to a non-specialist audience in three minutes or less. But to conceive and deliver a winning presentation takes careful planning. This information/prep session will explain how the 3MT works and offer pointers and strategies for prospective competitors, to help you decide if you are ready to give it a run. The 3MT registration deadline is Saturday, March 7, and the competition will be held Monday, March 23.
