The oral doctoral examination of Kai Sun, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Friday, June 5, at 10a.m at via Zoom.

Sun’s advisor is Professor Utpal Roy. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors John F. Dannenhoffer, III, Jack Graver, Young B. Moon and Xiyuan Liu. Professor Riyad S. Aboutaha will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Solving the process planning and scheduling problem via maximum weighted independent set.”
