The oral doctoral examination of Laura Ballard, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Thursday, June 18, at 1 p.m. via Blackboard Collaborate.

Ballard’s advisor is Professor Claudia Miller. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Graham Leuschke, Dan Zacharia, Jack Graver and Steven Diaz. Professor Arindam Chakraborty will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Properties of the Toric Rings of a Chordal Bipartite Family of Graphs.”
