Syracuse University will hold its annual Service of Commemoration, honoring Syracuse University and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry students, faculty, staff, retirees and trustees  who have passed away since Jan. 1, 2019, on Tuesday, March 10, at 4 p.m. in Hendricks Chapel.

The service will include prayer and music by University Organist Anne Laver and the Hendricks Chapel Choir. The names of those who have passed away will be read, and candles will be lighted collectively in their memory.

The service is inspired by the Remembrance Scholar motto of “Look Back, Act Forward,” a call to action to remember those we have lost and act forward in their memory.

A reception will follow in the chapel’s Noble Room. There, remembrance books will be available for inscription.
