Join La Casita as we conclude this years programming with a Student Panel and Open Mic all about Hip-hop and Reggaetton. La Casita begins each year with a themed exhibit exploring a topic from multiple perspectives. This years exhibit, Pa’ La Calle, explored Urban culture, Street Art, Hip-Hop, Graffiti and Reggaetton within the Latino community. This event is the culmination of year-long project, that included panel discussions, artist talks, research projects and arts education workshops.
Syracuse University students will be joining us for an online panel discussion about the nature of Hip-Hop and Reggaetton music, the culture and the impact they have on our communities. Panelist include: Christian Andino Barrero ’21, Elizabeth Kelly ’20, Adrian Lobo ’22 and Nicole Pacateque ’21. After our discussion we will have an open mic where the audience can ask questions, share opinions and share in the dialogue.
This event is FREE and open to the public. For the link to the ZOOM session, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or direct message our Facebook Account.
