The oral doctoral examination of Samuel Amartey, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Saturday, November 14,  at 1 p.m. in Zoom.

Amartey’s advisor is Professor Christopher DeCorse. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Douglas Armstrong, Theresa Singleton, John Townsend and Kenneth Kelly. Professor Sandra Lane will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Archaeology and settlement histories along the Pra River, southern Ghana, circa 500B.C. – AD1970.”
