Light Work Lab educational programming is open to creatives of all skill levels, classes and workshops are led by experienced and supportive instructors. Registration information and full descriptions can be found online.

Description: Silver Eye Executive Director David Oresick discusses strategies for how to prepare your photography portfolio, artist statement, and CV for calls for entry for exhibitions, fellowships, and residencies. Learn from a curator’s perspective how to select and sequence your images and edit your artist statement to create the most impactful and compelling application possible. Attendees are encouraged to bring in drafts of applications they are working in.
Instructor: David Oresick is the Executive Director at Silver Eye Center for Photography in Pittsburgh, PA. David holds an MFA from Columbia College Chicago and a BFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He worked as a Curatorial Assistant at the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago and as the Lab Manager at Light Work in Syracuse, New York before joining Silver Eye in 2014.
