¿Y tu abuela donde esta?: Panel Discussion will be on Friday, Oct. 16th at 7 PM. It will a zoom panel discussion featuring La Casita, PRSA, and a special guest. We will be exploring the famous Puerto Rican poem “¿Y Tu Abuela Donde Esta?” by Fortunato Vizcarrondo. The poem has been adapted in various songs and poetry and explores the racism faced by Puerto Ricans of clear African ancestry from their own people with more Caucasian features, but who may have an African ancestor themselves.
