This informative and interactive session will provide participants with an opportunity to engage in mindfulness-based practices led by Dr. Dessa Bergen-Cico, a certified mindfulness instructor and professor in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics. Bergen-Cico will give an overview of the basic neuroscience behind mindfulness-based practices while highlighting how regular practice has been shown to improve attention, decrease the body’s stress response, support recovery from trauma and addiction and improve our psychological resiliency.

Join us as we give you the tools for meditation — or “mindful snacks” — that can be used at any age from 3 to 103! There will also be time at the end for your questions.
