Dissertation Defense: Nafiseh Shahbazi Majd

You are invited to attend and participate in the oral doctoral examination of Nafiseh Shahbazi Majd, candidate for the Ph.D, degree, which will be held on Thursday, October 22, at 1:00 p.m. in Zoom.

Shahbazi Majd’s advisor is Professor Eric M. Lui. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Riyad S Aboutaha, James Mandel, Shobha K Bhatia and Dawit Negussey. Professor Junho Chun will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Analysis and Behavior of Segmented Energy Absorbing Steel Plate Shear Walls (SEA-SPSWs).”
