“Music and Message” — the popular weekly series from Hendricks Chapel — is returning to campus on Sunday, Sept. 6, at 4 p.m. ET. Join us!
The program will include musical performances and spoken reflections from a diversity of religious and spiritual perspectives. The event will be in-person and livestreamed on Zoom webinar.
Our theme for this semester is “Beauty/Brokenness”. In the midst of unprecedented times, we will explore the ways in which beauty can emerge from brokenness, and also, how brokenness can be found within that which is often deemed to be beautiful. For our first program, Dean Brian Konkol and Ethan Smith, Student Convener of S.A.I.L. (Student Assembly of Interfaith Leaders), will introduce this theme, and Dr. Theresa Chen, professor of jazz piano at Setnor School of Music, and a quartet of Hendricks Chapel Choir members.
Students, staff and faculty are welcome to attend in person! Masks and social distancing are required.
In accordance to COVID-19 regulations, those who do not work or reside on-campus, including parents and alumni, are invited to experience this program through Zoom webinar, which will open at 4 p.m. ET on Sunday.
The event is free and registration is not required.
