As many as 40% of Graduate Students regularly experience symptoms of anxiety or depression – but who are these people, and why do we never see them? Through open conversation and sharing of resources, we can break the stigma surrounding mental illness in academia and make the system better for those who follow in our footsteps. This talk will highlight the importance of building communities, identifying resources, and creating spaces to talk about the shared struggles of graduate school.
