A multidisciplinary panel of faculty judges determines the winner\, while the audience awards the “People’s Choice.” This year’s finalists include: Fadi Al-Issa (PhD\, Teaching and Curriculum)\, Sagnik Basumallik (PhD\, EECS)\, Meagan Bojarski (MA\, Communication and Rhetorical Studies)\, Megan Cartier (PhD\, Special Education)\, Laura Jack (PhD\, Higher Education)\, Diana Katovich (PhD\, Higher Education)\, Ezikio López  (PhD\, Composition and Cultural Rhetoric)\, Mary Pagán (PhD\, Sociology)\, Michael Kent Wilkinson  (PhD\, Physics)\, Zheng Xiong  (PhD\, Biomedical and Chemical Engineering)\, and Hediyeh Zamani (PhD\, Chemistry).
