The Accountant of Auschwitz is a film that follows the trail of Oscar Gröning, an SS Guard at Auschwitz Concentration Camp, to be tried for his war crimes during World War II and the Holocaust. The film depicts the trail and follows four Holocaust Survivors of Auschwitz as witnesses. The documentary is on Netflix, has premiered in 40 festivals worldwide and in January 2020, the film was selected by the United Nations as the official film to represent Holocaust commemoration and was screened in countries across Europe, Asia and Africa.
Join Syracuse Hillel on April 1st, 2021 at 7pm for the screening and April 5th, 2021 for a panel discussion with film director, Matthew Shoychet, and Holocaust Educator and Survivor in the ilm, Max Eisen. The discussion will be held virtually on Zoom and registration is required.
