The oral doctoral examination of Rebecca Wang, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Friday, April 9, at 9 a.m. in Zoom.

Wang’s advisor is Professor Janet Wilmoth. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Douglas Wolf, Amy Lutz, Jennifer Karas Montez and Merril Silverstein. Professor Emily Wiemers will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “How do immigrant older adults in the United States fare in later life? Examining differences in immigrant status and life-course timing of migration on late-life disablement and mortality.”
