The oral doctoral examination of Yi Yang, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Friday, April 9, at 1 p.m. EST in Zoom.
Yang’s advisor is Professor William C. Horrace. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Michah Rothbart, Maria Zhu, Hugo Jales and Jeffrey Kubik. Professor Wei Li will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “The Conditional Mode Estimator of Technical Efficiency: Theory and Application to NYC Public Schools.”
