About the Artists

The Cadleys are one of the most popular acoustic bands in the Northeast. Following in the tradition of the great male-female duets like George Jones with Tammy Wynette and Emmylou Harris, they show how voices blended in seamless harmony can produce a powerful sound. In concert you’ll hear them perform everything from traditional mountain ballads and bluegrass classics like “Bury Me Beneath the Willow” and Bill Monroe’s “Blue and Lonesome,” to Alison Krauss’ “The Lucky One” and Harold Arlen’s “Over the Rainbow.”

John Cadley is a nationally recognized songwriter whose compositions have been recorded nationally by artists including Jim Hurst, Missy Raines, Tony Trischka, Amy Gallatin, and Lou Reid, who took John’s song “Time” to the #1 spot on the national bluegrass charts. Along with bandmates John Dancks on bass and Perry Cleaveland on mandolin, The Cadleys deliver a powerful, direct, honest and elegant show that truly embodies the American experience.
