Join graduating Carrying the Thick Present exhibiting artists and College of Visual and Performing Artist MFA Studio Arts candidates Matthew Apol, and Ayesha Rumi, and Cady Spencer for an artist panel moderated by MA History of Art and Museum studies candidate Kathryn Hill.
The artists explore threads of Trauma, Language, Technology, and Hierarchies created within objects and communities that connect their work. They each grapple with these notions by challenging perceptions of their chosen mediums. The event is hosted by Syracuse University Art Museum in collaboration with Point of Contact and Community Folk Art Center.
