Dissertation Defense: Aleksey Panasyuk

The oral doctoral examination of Aleksey Panasyuk, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Monday, April 19, at 10 a.m. in Zoom.

Panasyuk’s advisor is Professor Chilukuri Mohan. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Sucheta Soundarajan, Reza Zafarani, Kishan Mehrotra and Edmund Yu. Professor Ashok Sangani will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Inferring Degree of Localization of Twitter Persons and Topics through Time, Language, and Location Features.”
