Dissertation Defense: Caleb McWhorter

The oral doctoral examination of Caleb McWhorter, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Thursday, April 22, at 3:30 p.m. in Zoom.

McWhorter’s advisor is Professor Steven Diaz. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Fikreab Solomon Admasu, Graham Leuschke, Claudia Miller and Dan Zacharia. Professor Jennifer Schwarz will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Torsion Subgroups of Rational Elliptic Curves over Odd Degree Galois Fields.”
