Dissertation Defense: Andrea Smith

The oral doctoral examination of Andrea Smith, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Wednesday, August 11, at 3 p.m. in Zoom.

Smith’s advisor is Professor Rebecca R. Ortiz. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Kyla Garrett Wagner, Bradley Gorham, Ignatius Ijere and Dennis F. Kinsey. Professor Ravi K. Shukla will serve as chair of the defense.  The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Sexual Consent on Social Media: How College Students’ Exposure to Sexualized and Party-Related Content on Social Media Relates to their Sexual Consent Beliefs, Attitudes, and Intentions.”
