The oral doctoral examination of Daniel Finstad, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Thursday, August 12, at 11 a.m. in Zoom.
Finstad’s advisor is Professor Duncan Brown. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Stefan Ballmer, Eric Coughlin, Scott Watson and Alexander Nitz. Professor William Wylie will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Binary Neutron Star Mergers: Gravitational-Wave Measurements of their Parameters and the Nuclear Equation of State.”
