Dissertation Defense: Xin Gao

The oral doctoral examination of Xin Gao, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Tuesday, August 17, at 2 p.m. EST in Zoom.

Gao’s advisor is Professor Jesse Quentin Bond. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Ian Dean Hosein, Ashok Shantilal Sangani, Viktor J Cybulskis and Shikha Nangia. Professor Cliff Ian Davidson will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Rational design of supported metal catalysts for carbonyl reduction during biomass upgrading.”
