The oral doctoral examination of Pamela Sertzen, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Wednesday, August 18, at 1 p.m. in Zoom.

Sertzen’s advisor is Professor Robert Wilson. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Tom Perreault, Timur Hammond, Myrna Garcia and Gladys McCormick. Professor Dana Olwan will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Contesting Erasure: Museu da Maré and the Right to the City in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.”
