Effective and Efficient Assessment

Research has repeatedly shown sound assessment practices to be the most effective learning strategy in the educator’s toolkit. This seminar in the Certificate in University Teaching series will help you understand the simple structures and systems of assessment to optimize learning. You’ll get an introduction to the Do’s and Don’ts of test construction and item writing for both formative and summative assessments, and to some free online tools that can simplify the process. The seminar is led by Michael Hardt (School of Education).
