Join Barnes Center at The Arch esports community as we celebrate Black History Month and discuss the influence of Black game developers on the gaming industry, such as Atari engineer, Jerry Lawson and Microsoft creative designer, Karisma Williams, as well as dive deeply into the history of Black representation in gaming. The first game featured is “Treachery in Beatdown City” which is created and published by developer Shawn Alexander Allen.

Game Summary: When U.S. President Blake Orama is captured by ninjas, who do you call to save him? Find out as we explore this reimagining of a classic 2D “beat-’em-up” style game. The game will be available to play in the Barnes Center at The Arch Esports Room for those who would like to give it a try.
