It’s hard to overstate the power and cultural significance of Latin music today. In this week’s Rezak lecture we are fortunate to have one of the absolute leading visionaries and experts in this space. From being a leading touring executive with one of the top promoters in the world to directing the career of Rosalía, literally one of the planet’s biggest superstars, Rebeca León has truly done it all. We will discuss her transcendent career path, dive intro truths and misconceptions about the Latin music industry and, of course, talk shop that is the magic of Rosalía.

About Rebeca León:
Rebeca León is the CEO and founder of Lionfish Entertainment, an artist management and production company operating in the music, film, TV and digital businesses. Lionfish currently represents global phenomenon Rosalía, reggaeton’s hottest new face Lunay and rising star St. Pedro.
Previously as a manager, León worked with renowned Latin acts, including overseeing the longtime preeminence of Juanes and the rise of pioneering urban superstar J Balvin. In 2019, León opened a production studio where her focus is to develop content that borrows from her experiences from the music world to tell relevant stories that intersect across cultures and languages.
Before Lionfish, León spent 11 years in the touring business running Latin operations as SVP for AEG/Goldenvoice. Prior to touring, she earned her stripes at labels EMI and Sony Music where she started her career as an assistant.
León currently resides in Miami Beach and Los Angeles with her husband and three dogs, Sookie, Olivia and Biggie.
