About Ronnie Leigh

Ronnie Leigh, vocalist, songwriter, and keyboardist, has been impressing audiences for years from Syracuse to Seattle, New York City to Istanbul, giving the bands he has performed with leadership and a distinctive flare. He is a frequent performer in resorts, jazz clubs, and concert halls throughout the U.S. and Canada.

An Albany, New York native, he is a five-time SAMMY (Syracuse Area Music Award) winner who has recorded with Cabo Frio on Zebra/MCA records, with Larry Arlotta on Spirit Jazz, with the CNY Jazz Quartet on the CNY Jazz label, and as leader on AppleJazz Records. Most recently, he released the debut album of his own band, Prime Time Funk, on Eiffel Records.

A former member of The Drifters, he has served as Director of the Syracuse University Windjammer Vocal Jazz Ensemble. He was the founding music director of the inner city outreach concert series Jazz in the City.
