George M. Johnson, a writer and activist based in New York, has written on race, gender, sex and culture for Essence, the Advocate, BuzzFeed News, Teen Vogue and more than 40 other national publications.
Johnson’s debut book, “All Boys Aren’t Blue,” was an Amazon Best Book of the Year, an Indie Bestseller and a People Best Book of the Year, and optioned for television by Gabrielle Union. The New York Times called it “an exuberant, unapologetic memoir infused with a deep but cleareyed love for its subjects.”
An interview with Johnson will be available on YouTube Jan. 25 beginning at 5 p.m. EST. The talk is sponsored by 44 New Voices, a project of the Newhouse School’s Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship.
