She recently founded The International Social Impact Institute which through partnerships with various institutions around the world\, aims to develop courses\, forums and research to amplify the voices of marginalized change makers and social impact leaders\, facilitate interactions among them and assist in training more of them. \nLiz has been the turnaround CEO of a Nelson Mandela-endorsed international nonprofit organization; founded and run an international boutique consulting firm; been an invited member of the U.S. Speaker Program at the U.S. Department of State; taught and guest lectured at top academic institutions in the U.S. and abroad; and delivered training that has transformed lives and organizations worldwide. She has also worked closely with the iSchool to bring educational opportunities to the African continent. \nShe has been quoted in or featured by Black Enterprise Magazine\, South Africa Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) News\, The Chicago Tribune\, The New York Times and The Washington Post. \nShe earned her B.S. in Information Systems from the iSchool\, an MMH degree from Cornell University\, and graduated from the United Nations International School\, which she attended for primary and secondary school. \nAbout Jeff Saltz\n \nJeff Saltz’s research focuses on the socio-technical issues relating to data science\, such as data science project management\, and how teams should work together to “do” data science. \nHis 20+ years of industry experience has often focused on building new teams that leverage emerging technologies and data analytics to deliver innovative business solutions. In his last corporate role\, Saltz worked at JPMorgan Chase\, reporting to the firm’s Chief Information officer while helping to drive innovation throughout the firm. He also held several other key management positions at the company\, including CTO (Consumer and Community Banking Risk Management)\, Chief Information Architect (Chase Financial Services)\, global head of eBusiness technology and vice president of computational technology. He previously served as chief technology officer and principal investor at Goldman Sachs/Goldman Sachs Ventures\, where he invested and helped incubate technology start-ups. Saltz started his career as a programmer\, project leader and consulting engineer with Digital Equipment Corp (now part of HP). \nSaltz received his B.S. in computer science from Cornell University\, an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
