Dissertation Defense: Sara Swenson

The oral doctoral examination of Sara Swenson, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Tuesday, June 1, at 2:30 p.m. in Zoom.

Swenson’s advisor is Professor Gareth J. Fisher. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Ann Grodzins Gold, Joanne Waghorne, Alexander Soucy and M. Gail Hamner. Professor Susan Snow Wadley will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “”Sharing Hearts”: Buddhist Charity and Urbanization in Vietnam.”
