Addressing Anti-Semitism Training

Through a cross-campus collaboration between Hendricks Chapel, Syracuse Hillel, and the STOP Bias Program, this 90-minute informative and interactive session was developed for Syracuse students to engage in a safe space and learning opportunity to gain an understanding of anti-Semitism, its impact on our campus, and ways in which we can all foster a more inclusive campus culture.

Through this session, participants will critically analyze incidents and images to understand how anti-Semitism has persisted and is perpetuated in society, the harm it causes, and how to help build a more just community.

Staff and peer facilitators for this session will teach participants how to recognize potentially anti-Semitic behavior, inform and encourage participants to take appropriate action, and provide additional resources to support students targeted and mistreated by anti-Semitic acts. The session is an introduction to the topic and all students of varying awareness levels, backgrounds, and experiences are welcome to join in the session and discussion.
