The CNY Humanities Corridor working group, “Humanities Beyond the Academy,” hosts a series of mini-residencies for publicly engaged humanistic scholars, bringing together those interested in public humanities and careers outside the academy. As a follow-up to her public talk Scholarship for the Public Good on March 11, Katina Rogers, author of Putting the Humanities PhD to Work: Thriving in and beyond the Classroom (Duke UP, 2020), invites casual conversation through this virtual coffee hour, encouraging graduate students, recent alumni and interested community partners to discuss graduate education and the future of the humanities in greater depth. Ten copies of Rogers’ book will be given away by raffle to attendees.
